PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
The Oak Terrace PTA offers teachers an opportunity to apply for grants in the spring and fall during the calendar school year. Prior to considering a PTA Teacher Grant, we encourage teachers to first consider whether their proposal can be supported by the recently announced Oak Terrace Innovation Grant.
Oak Terrace Innovation Grants
Due to the recent adoption of the Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) and as part of the school’s Title I Grant, Oak Terrace is annually allocated funds to improve student learning, which school and district administrators reference as Oak Terrace Innovation Grants. Oak Terrace Innovation Grants are disbursed by the District and include but are not limited to any of the following:
- Integration of Technology
- Additional classroom/grade level materials
- Family and community engagement opportunities
- Cultural diversity
- Social-emotional learning
- Individual professional development
Teachers who are interested in applying for Innovation Grants need to apply directly to Oak Terrace. The timeline for these grants will be reviewed/approved on a rolling basis.
PTA Supplemental Teacher Grants
PTA Supplemental Grants can be used toward any of the following types of activities, events and/or materials.
- Environmental Learning
- Healthy Lifestyle
- Arts & Music
How to Apply: Please fill out the adjacent form online. Your submission will be reviewed within 10 days of submission.
Notification & Reimbursement: A PTA executive board representative will notify each teacher via email as to whether their grant was approved approximately within 6 weeks of the application deadline. We recommend that each grant recipient acknowledge receipt of their grant approval by contacting Kristie McCarthy, PTA Treasurer at kjzmccarthy@gmail.com within 30 school days along with any receipts associated with grant purchases.
IMPORTANT: Please note grant recipients who do not acknowledge or confirm by email the estimated time in which they will spend their grant may be at risk of losing their grant after 30 days.
